It's not the IP address the poll tracks.
If it's a member only poll, it tracks that they voted in the database only. This allows persons using the same computer to vote on a poll, as long as they have different accounts.
If it's a anyone can vote poll, it tracks that they voted via the database and a cookie on their computer. This is done, to prevent a member from logging out after they vote and voting anonymously. This means persons using the same computer, won't be able to vote in the same poll. No matter if they have different accounts.< |
