Can someone advise me why I am receiving a message on my forum everytime a member wants to change their profile as follows

' only administrator can modify a member '

so this means I can change members profiles but they cannot ????


I cannot seem to find a swtch in the setup anywhere for this.

Members can only edit their own profile! An Admin can edit an other members profile but must login in as the Admin. There is no switch!

A member should use the Profile link to edit their titles, the link will be like this:

...your website.../forum/pop_profile.asp?mode=Edit

They get that message when they use the Profile link?<

Thanks for the replies. I understand members can edit their own profile only. But on my forum - for some reason it will not let any member edit his own profile. they just get the security message. as mentioned before.

As administrator i know i can go in and edit any profile

have I inadvertently changed a setting ??
