No you won't need to update the connection string.<

OK, I ran Gremlin's code to make dbo owner of the tables, and in Enterprise Manager the dbo is still not showing up as the owner of those tables! Strange and stranger. When I point my config file to the new database I still get the Invalid object name 'FORUM_MEMBERS' error.<

Did you run the code in the new database?<

Yes - I did all these changes within the database that was migrated onto my dedicated server, using Enterprise Manager. I even made sure I had the right database selected before I ran the query.

I'm wondering if I should run setup.asp again so we can see the details about those duplicate tables that are being created? I don't want to mess up anything even more than it already is, but I'm running out of ideas. I'm also very reluctant to do anything that might inadvertently mess up the database that IS still working and being used (hosted elsewhere).<

chp, if you have remote desktop access to your dedicated server, if you create me an acount and email me login details I will logon and fix the problem if you wish, will probably be a lot quicker than bouncing round posts in the forum <

HuwR, I've emailed you with all the details about an hour ago, and I eagerly await your insight as to what could possibly be going wrong. Thank you again.<

I wanted to send a mighty THANK YOU shout-out to Huw for helping me resolve this issue.

For anybody with similar problems, the fix was just what he suggested here, to modify the strTableprefix values in config.asp and change the db owner to the table name, so that instead of FORUM_ it said [dbo].FORUM_ (where DBO was the name of the person who owned those tables). He posted the fix here but had forgotten that the dbo had to be in brackets.

Now that the new database is connected, I noticed that my server disk queue length is pretty much constantly maxed out at the very top of the chart. Could this be at all related to that fix, or is it an issue of needing to add more RAM/ROM to the box? If you'd rather I post separately about this, let me know. I just thought I'd note it here since it could be related to the same issue. Not sure.

Thanks you guys!

The fix would have nothing to do with it, but probably a different topic with a suitable title would be preferable.<
