I just installed active users mod to forum and it seemed to work for a minute then crashed. I think the dabse has crashed and am unsure how to access it/ restore it or even if I have a recent backup since I only use ftp.
The first few steps which get you to update dbase may have been the issue. I got the following error message after I selected.
There should be a select form object in the center of the file. Select "Active Users 4.0.1 for Snitz 3.4 compatable" Make sure the checkbox is checked. Click Update! Error message

Any idea what went wrong the whole forum is down now and active user mod appeared to work for a short while. <
Undo the file changes you made to get your forum back running again. You need to get a hold of the host since FTP limits you to files and directories.<
what changes do i need to undo? Would the host have more files than me? I can manually change the asp files back again i manually edited during mod. but how to i restore or fix dbase as I beleive this is the problem?<
good news. I changed all the manually edited file back. And it seems to work again. I did not change the dbase as I not sure how to access it. Now I am back to dbase error from post 1 when it tried to update. And how I can safely backup or restore dbase in future. So I can try mods without running into trouble again.
The active user mod seemed good but I am reluctant to try it again with out being able to back up dbase somehow.<
Change of plans now. WHilst I liked the snitz forum it just was not fully compatiable with companys linux hosting. Unfortuantely I will now be converting snitz over to a php forum so no longer require the planned active user mod.
OK, after I have installed the new base forum, I am attempting to add active users, I also get this error when doing a database setup, will this be a problem or should I just change the files and see what happens?
