Andy,
You need to go and check all your code and work out what you are willing to let the public look at and the way for the registrations to your site(s). I have a form of Captcha on some of my sites and all have extra registration requirements. The captcha is not totally user friendly, but I am willing to live with that.
I also try to stop users by requiring them to have a certian amount of posts before they can send a PM or an e-mail to another user. Since my sites are only low traffic, I can look at all posts (and the Moderators I have do also) and if there is something wrong, I lock the account of the offending user.
But back to the main part of the topic, and you wanted something that would block an IP Address, but you now know that is is not possible to fully do it.< |
