Hi,

The search proved negative so here goes.

I have Snitz installed on a secure internal network handling a fairly busy Intranet FAQ system. I have been successfully using this up to about 6 months ago.

I now have a very serious issue where the Access databases are being wiped (randomly no specifics re timings) in certain tables (Forum Topics and Forum Reply) which renders all history unavaliable!

I have investigated any internal factors but as only some if the data is being wiped and other tables left intact (Forum Members for example) I deduce it must be something else?

Can anyone offer assistance please?

Hi,

I don't see how that could be occurring accidentally. I'd say that either you have some custom code that does that (which I find very weird), or you have someone deleting the contents.<

Could it be server-related? I ask only because my wierd JET issues went away when they moved a misbehaving app off of my server.

Either way, if you can describe it as "fairly busy" it may be time to look into SQL Server (even just the Express Edition) or MySQL.<

Mmm

Thanks for your thoughts. I hate things like this that are so random with out a solutions reason.

I think I will move over to SQL.
