My site suddenly quit this afternoon. I get an error anywhere a page tries to open a database connection. Setup.asp says the database can't be opened.

My host insists it's a scripting problem on my end. But I've changed nothing. My connection string is correct. The database has read/write permission. I've tried moving the db. I've tried a new db. I even tried a non-Snitz application with Access, but I still get errors when a connection is attempted.

It was working fine, then just stopped.

Since I didn't change anything, and it occurs with any Access db. I'm sure it's a problem with the hosting server. But I can't get them to believe it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be the issue, or what I can ask my host to check?

Also, does anyone here take on Access to MSSQL or MySQL conversion jobs for a reasonable fee?

Definitely looks like a server issue. I would report that no apps can connect to Access DBs.

I can help with the conversion, email me if you're interested.<

Actually, just found out I can't help with the conversion. Seems like this is an SHN forum, which means the code does not properly create the tables needed in a SQL Server / MySQL DB, which also means that even with a complete manual conversion, and my lack of knowledge of the SHN code, I cannot assure an adequate performance for the resulting database, at least not without a lot of extra effort to get knowledgeable about the code. That being the case, I'd rather not do this.

Sorry.<
