Since I rebooted my broadband router, I have been given a new IP address. No problem it seems, but when I have logged out from the forum the active members list on the active_users page still shows me online. I have cleared the computer cookies still the same.
Is there an alternated dbs routine that we can use to clear all the entries in the Forum_Active_Users table. The last time I had this problem I had to download the database and clear the table entries and upload the db. Longwinded, but I don't want to take the forum offline Thanks andy<
I seem to remember awhile ago I asked something about this. There is I believe a setting in the admin active users panel that has a setting about inactive activity. I can't remember what mine says but I think I put it at 5 minutes. Even after they go I think they'll still appear for the 5 minute duration until it times out.<
Your username will remain on the active users page for a specified number of minutes. You can find out what the Active Users Timeout is set to in the Config Active Users page in the admin area.<
Understood, but surely if I reboot my broadband connection, then a subsequent log in and out, these new settings (IP address) should clear the previous address and thus remove the members name displayed, when logging off..<
