Minor annoyance that should only come up when the bad word filter is used as a replacement function. When a bad word is set and replaced (say #test# with ~`~) when a user searches for the bad word (#test#) the search comes up with the results of the bad word but when the user opens the topic the replacement (~`~) is highlighted and when the user searches for the replacement (~`~) unless a topic has that string nothing will show up.
What I think should happen is when you search for the bad word nothing should show up but when you search for the replacement the normal results and the bad word results should show up.
To fix it you could run the words through the bad word function and if the input and out put are diffrent return nothing and run the bad word filter backwards and if anything comes back search for that also. But considering the rarity of this event and the costliness of running the fix I don't know if it's worth implementing.< |
