I have installed the front page new mod to my forum, but when you activate it all I see is a banner containing the title and one containing the posted date, which always appears to be today's date.
I am not able to see the news items I have added.
Can someone please let me know where I am going wrong and how I get the news items to display.< |

I just looked at that mod, there's very little to it. I'll look at the admin control page and see if there's anything obvious.< |

Run the admin page, make sure you turn the news on! The default setting has it off.< |

Having now done that, I've uninstalled it again. I have no use for that mod, can make announcements in the forums.< |

It is turned on in the admin page. With it off it does not show anything on the front page, but when I turn it on all I get are the two banners with the title and posted date. No news.< |

Did you set the number of messages to display? I set it to 2 and only 1 showed up, but didn't bother to fix that. If you have it set to 1 (and it's truncating by 1), it may cut it off altogether.< |

Ok - back to this topic. I looked at the database itself, viewed the two tables created by this mod.
The first was fine, it showed a 1 (turned on) and a 2 (quantity to display).
The second was worthless. It showed only the first date and the first message. It actually only created two database entries; regardless of how many messages were recorded - the second and later ones never make it to the database.< |

I thought it may have something to do with the inc_news_body.asp because when I put in another one I downloaded from another post on this forum it no longer showed the Posted date banner. It just showed the title but still no news.< |
