Snitz Programmers,
Anyone seen any mods that rotate ads or special offers between forum thread posts? This might be both annoying to posters or yet beneficial for JV's on the forum. Just curious if you have seen this. I have seen the (WSO)Warrior Special Offers like this on the Warrior Forum.

| I've seen them. Can't stand them. When I go to a board that uses banner & rotating ads, that's my last visit. I use a number of anti-spyware/adware controls & block 95% of web advertising - the last place I'd want it would be a forum.< |

| I hate advertisements or what you are and it opens up windows when they are flash, it's really unpleasant. I prefer to pay a little more expensive at my subscription as a host to the pub which is still invasive< |

Banner ads and pop ups are a pain, distracting and if I wanted products i would search for them, not have them pushed down my throat, especially on a discussion forum.  < |

Duly noted! It's all about the visitor so I appreciate your feedback. I imagine that google ads in between the posts would be just as annoying so I won't even go there. :) Thanks Shaggy for the hookup though but I better wait since everyone seems to hate them. I am not ready to annoy my readers on my forum unless I know most are OK with them.

The only people that can tell you what will annoy them or not, why not poll them and see? Usually, if you explain to them that it's a necessary evil to cover the costs of the site and keep it up & running, you'll meet with little opposition
