Try taking the source of the page that doesn't work and put it through the W3C Validator< |

It looks like you both have a colspan value for a tablecell set too high for normal user. Try lowering it by one, that should fix it. The colspan value is set with a function, sGetColspan(7,6), and it is most likely caused by either the table used for AU- or for the Birthday-mod. You will have to do some trial and error to nail it down. Source: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=59590
I recalled the same proble with the AU and Birthday mod a while ago, in the end I took the birthday mod off.

I've tried a few things and get some changes. Do these numbers mean anything to anyone?
In inc_birthdays.asp there are 6 lines of code that has a sGetColspan.
The original ones are first. They work for guests and normal users but cause the thick line for the admin. They are in this order:
7,6 7,6 7,5 7,5 7,5 7,5
I changed to the ones below (in red) and they work for admin but cause a weird extra block for guests and normal users.
7,6 7,6 6,4 6,4 6,4 6,4
I changed the one below (in red) and it works for guests and normal users but returns the thick line for the admin.
7,6 7,6 6,4 7,5 6,4 6,4
Anyone see a pattern or know which one will fix it for everyone?< |

Quote: sGetColspan(7,6) How do you lower it by one? Do you lower both numbers or just one of them? If just one, which one, the first or second? I don't understand what these number are supposed to mean. I wasn't sure either but when I experience the same symptoms, I was given the answer just adjust them by trial and error. I know its not much help, but it was all I was given about two years ago. Thinking about collapsing the birthday section (by clicking the + sign in the table) it causes the thick line to go away, is that suggesting the birthday section is larger than the original table sizes and causing the original borders to stretch out or showing a background of black.. Good luck andy < |

You might want to tweak the way the mod displays a birthday for today. Currently if there is no birthday it displays None. If there is a birthday it displays the members name and birthdate in brackets
I have amended my inc_birthdays.asp file so that the font is the same size as the recent and upcoming bithday list, and amended the text so that if there are no birthdays today it displays Birthday's Today: None Also if a birthday occurs, it will display Today's Birthday(s): membersname (May 2).
To do this open inc_birthdays.asp Find Line 62 strTodaysBD = "" Amend to: strTodaysBD = "Birthday's Today: "
Line 149 strTodaysBD = "None." Amend to strTodaysBD = "Birthday's Today: None"
line 171 " <font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strDefaultFontSize & """ color=""" & strForumFontColor & """>" & strTodaysBD & "</font>" & vbNewLine & _ Amend to " <font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strFooterFontSize & """ color=""" & strForumFontColor & """>" & strTodaysBD & "</font>" & vbNewLine & _
Changes in Red Regards andy
