Hi, This isn't so much a problem as a question. I saw some PM MODs on snitzbitz, but I don't know if they're compatible with 3.4.06 since the versions say either 3.3.04 or 3.4. Could anyone offer some advice on this or perhaps point to another link? I've tried searching for a PM system compatible with my forum version, but I can't find anything. I'm afraid of installing something for a different version since I'm not too competent a coder and wouldn't be able to tweak much of anything. Thanks for your help! |

If the download file is private_messages-3304-3505 then it should be okay, I installed it on 3.4.06 and all worked fine. Download from Snitzbitz here |

very cool, thanks
only one question... it has the pop_delete file as one of the files that need to be uploaded (not in the example folder). however, i do not want to replace my pop-delete file since i have other mods installed. any idea about this? |

Then you'll have to follow the installation process, normally on the readme file and edit the code as stated.. |

yeah, only the read me file doesn't mention the pop-delete i think i'll just do without the pms for now. the readme file doesn't show between which lines the code should go and only lists approximate lines, which don't map to my files. thanks for the suggestion, though :) |

Post a text copy of the new pop_delete or link to the mod and I'll post the changes. |

the instruction for pop_delete are in the readme file.
also maybe the lines dont match up correctly to a alreayd modded forum but the code that it tell you to find is more or less accurate and you dont have to searxh for the entire block that it tell you to look for, as long as you can find a unique search term in the code they ask you to find its easy.

I use diff but it's *nix. But there's a Snitz thread on this. |

This diff program seems very similar to Winmerge a free file comparison program, Information and Download |
