I'm trying to make the switch to NT authentication from DB authentication and have a few questions.

#1 - Can forums be protected down to members-only lists of users and groups? When I go into the properties fro a forum there is no way I can see to add NT users to the list of "Select Members". Any ideas?

#2 - If you use NT authentication can you still have detailed information about the user? I'd like to be able to use some of the profile information, but I don't see how this could get attached to the NT user information.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes they can, I believe. However, each user will need to visit the forums and register (or be auto-registered of Auto-Login is enabled). Then, each user will appear in the list.

Yes, of course you can. If you do not use Auto-Login, each user must register before they can post. Once they go to register, the forums will ask any questions you'd like and the data will be stored by Snitz.

Now, you can get fancy if you are familiar with ADSI and LDAP, and get more info from their NT and Exchange username and mailbox config.
