edit the members.asp file ?? that is not what I said to do, the problem is not in members.asp it is in your database, you should use the code I posted in the (Alternate MOD Setup) page under admin_options, you can do nothing by editing members.asp |

quote: I had replaced IDOFDODGYUSER with the user who "breaks"
did you user their ID or username ? you should use their username
also, I already fixed your forum once, so make sure you have applied the fix correctly as it would seem you have not applied the 'latest' version, if you had you would not be getting this problem again |

I used the username.
I tried to use the code for the (Alternate MOD Setup). This didn't work and this is where I got the error message.
Yes you fixed the forum a couple of weeks ago, thanks again, but at that time I didn't know about the fix (the link I provided earlier) so the problem occurred again recently. I installed the fix today. But the members page is still broken so I tried to use your database fix code on the Alternate MOD setup page. No luck! |

if you open members.asp, the last line that displays will have an icon in the far left column, if you hover over this column you will see a url in your browsers status bar, the url contains the id of the user
it is 1392 |

Oh great, thanks It worked, the intruders are out! In case somebody else reads this and is using Firefox: To see the ID you must right click on the icon and choose Properties. There you find the URL. Select, and drag it until the ID is exposed.
Sunny greetings from Cairo |
