I created and customized my forums on an NT server. All of the admin stuff went fine, but I am not able to access the forums after they are created. I am getting the follopwing error in IE5:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: '[string: "03.19.01 22.51.26"]'

/scripts/forum.asp, line 69

I have the files in the following directories:

/scripts/default.asp (and all other asp, etc)
/scripts/cgi-bin/snits_forums_2000.mbd

I know that the scripts directory has read/write privledges -- are the privledges for the /cg-bin/ subdirectory set separately? Would this have anything to do with my problem? I an not sure if I should contact by System Adminstrator (he's hard to reach). I am supposed to demo a forum tomorrow. I am desparate! Any info would be very appreciated!

I changed admin items such as font color and use of icons. Also, I limited the ability for moderators to move items to other forums. I can go back to a "default" set-up, if you think this would help. Could something in the admin area cause me a problem?

It does sound like something may have been changed that shouldn't have. Try using clean copies of the files you modified and see if you still get the same error.

I reset everything to defaults. Is there anything else I might try? Do you think this has anything to with directory permissions?

Might have something to do with the date and time format you are using.

None of the options for Date/Time formats in the forum uses periods as separators.

Is that how your server is setup?
