have u had a look on snitzbitz??? i knwo there is 1 around somewhere, you may have to go searchign though the forums

In addition to the Active users mod there is the Online/Offline status addon which will display if a member is currently online next to their previous posting See link
I am sure there is some code around, using the search, that will add the icons next to this status text ie green icon for online and red for offline.
