I am using g711 Codec.
But Audio Codec which I am using is ALC861 7.1 Channel High Definition Audio codec with UAA.
Someone told me I need to get 2.1 Audio Codec to best Sound Qlty in softphone.
True ?
Currently I cant hear my customer ....
Should i download
AC3 Filter 1.46
and Install and it will solve my problem ?

Well, since this has nothing to do with Snitz, I guess posting here is OK. But if you search the web you'll find tons of other forums with much more help for codec questions.

| But what I think paddy is trying to say is that it is very specifics to codecs you will find alot more by using google. I havd some codec questions a while back and a quick google search brought up my answers |

Hi Kolucoms6,
As these are all very specialised codecs (audio/telephony), and knowing you have a call centre, I'm imagining you have some call centre equipment or software/VOIP products you're trying to use, the supplier of those products/services may be better placed to help you than a bunch of forum/db/web people.
All my codec knowledge is in the video arena, different ways of compressing video information and the problems inherent in them depending on your usage, nothing with streaming audio codecs which are a specialised area themselves. You really need an audio specialist/engineer to get an accurate answer, wish I could help. |
