I have learnt a bit of asp thanks to you guys here on the forum, I am now ready to start mucking about with code on my own, as I want to learn more.

I am using Araneae 5 to get started (as advised on here) now my problem is I have a new PC with the dredded Vista on, how can I test my creations without having to add it to my website via FTP? is there a bit of software about that will allow me to see what I am doing without publishing it, a sort of wysiwyg program for asp? I want to almost do a line at a time then check it, just to see where I am going and what I am doing.

You can run a local webserver (IIS 7) with some versions of Vista. I have it running on Vista Business. But IIS isn't available with many Vista Home versions. There are some alternate web servers that supposedly support asp, but I can't say how well they work.

If you have an old machine and a network, you can run IIS (or PWS if real old) on W98, Me, W2000, XP Pro, NT4, W2003, all supporting asp.
