Hi All,
I’ve got Snitz on my own Server, and I’ve configured e-mail to use gmail.
Its works very, very well (that’s to all that helped me out).
I’ve had some Spam sent recently by some members that has a high post count, so installing the mod to only allow members with a post count of over a certain number would have not helped.
Right now I have disabled the “e-mail member” option on the profile, but this is having a bad effect on the forum (it’s a small town community forum).
The question is, does anybody know a way of putting the sent e-mails on hold somewhere, until they can get approved by a moderator or administrator?
Thanks for your help, Amazing work people....
P.

If your regular members are sending spam, suggest you speak to them and lock their accounts for a while. I wouldn't like the admin reading the emails I send to a member. But your forum policy might differ. |

I agree with Davio. Rather than get into any privacy debates with your users, a better option may be to lock the profiles of offending members. Alternatively, you could install the UserGroups MOD, with which you could put members on "probation", allowing them to read the forums and log in, but not post. With some tweaking, the UserGroups MOD could probably restrict users' email permissions. |

I would love to just have a switch in a members profile that allowed admins to turn their email sending privileges on and off. I've wished I had that several times. |

That would certainly be nice. However, the added benefit of restricting other things the user can do via UserGroups would be a nice touch. If you only take away their email privileges, users may not be terribly upset, but if you take away their posting with it (while they're on probation) they may actually take notice. |

Thanks fot the input people :-)
I've had a look at snitzblitz, but I cannot find the UserGroups MOD.
Can somebody please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
