I'm new here and not a Snitz user other than being a frequent visitor to http://www.wishongolf.com/twforum/default.asp which apparently uses Snitz.

As an experiment a while back I simply subscribed to all the forums (every post generates an email) at Wishon Golf and (not surprisingly) have found that the volume of email is quite irritating.

What is surprising is that I cannot "unsubscribe" to anything. I've found multiple unsubscribe buttons/links that generate an "OK/Cancel" dialog, but nothing changes.

I have no idea what level of Snitz software these folks are using (they design and manufacture golf clubs so software is not a key skill I'm sure). My best guess is that this is a very old bug that was fixed long ago.

But I haven't yet gotten a helpful response from the Wishon Golf folks. Is this a familiar problem and is there something simple that I could tell them to do?

I'm guessing that the answer is to upgrade to v3.4xx and that, from their perspective, this isn't simple. But I thought I'd ask just in case.

Thanks.

dave

ps. I did do a search on "unsubscribe" but didn't find anything directly related to this (that I recognized, anyway).

My apologies for posting before I tried this. But I do not have this problem with the following version of Firefox

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11

The problem does exist for IE 7.0.6000.16575.

If it matters I'm running Vista on a Dell XPS laptop.

Must be the way you have your IE 7.0 configured. Maybe it's blocking the pop-windows that are used in subscription related functions.

Yep - that is it. I got the "OK/Cancel" dialog box, but the "you are unsubscribed" dialog box was blocked and this fact also apparently aborted the unsubscribe process.

Thanks.
