First, please don't e-mail me a question unless I specifically ask you to. Post it here first - this software is community supported.

Second, you sent this question:
quote:
I thought I could follow your instructions to another Snitz member regarding placing a line in the inc_header.asp to get Google to find my forum site, but it didn't seem to work.

I added the keywlords line below in both places.

I'm guessing the structure is wrong?

With this code:
'## START - REMOVAL, MODIFICATION OR CIRCUMVENTING THIS CODE WILL VIOLATE THE SNITZ FORUMS 2000 LICENSE AGREEMENT
Response.Write "<meta name=""copyright"" content=""This Forum code is Copyright (C) 2000-06 Michael Anderson, Pierre Gorissen, Huw Reddick and Richard Kinser, Non-Forum Related code is Copyright (C) " & strCopyright & """>" & vbNewline
Response.Write "<meta name=""keywords"" content=""echo, echocardiography, sonographer, indianapolis, indiana "">" & vbNewline
'## END - REMOVAL, MODIFICATION OR CIRCUMVENTING THIS CODE WILL VIOLATE THE SNITZ FORUMS 2000 LICENSE AGREEMENT

I'm not sure what topic you read, but I'm the last person to dispense advice on anything related to search engines... some more details would help.

Any other questions, post here at the forums please.

01. No search engine worth its salt places any merit on keywords these days.

02. Your page ranking on Google does not update instantly, you need to give it a few weeks.

Search is your friend

fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had
taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.”

1) My apologies to AnonJr. Tadisaus2 was actually the person I intended to e-mail regarding specific comments; not sure how it got mis-directed.

2) Thanks, Shaggy. I have no idea how search engines work. I'll give it some time.
