Hi,
Just a generic Snitz question in regards to email capability:
Is it possible to configure Snitz to automatically post a topic by receiving an email? Similar to Google Groups where any user can post text/attachment by emailing a specific address or including that address in a mailing list.
Thanks in advance! Dave |

This has been asked before, and some quality time with the search page should turn up the topic - and all the pros and cons of attempting this.
All things being equal, if you want something like Google Groups, why re-invent the wheel? Use Google Groups. |

Thanks. I did spend some time searching, but came up empty. I'll try again now knowing it is out there.
Google groups is limited, especially in storage space (max 100MB). Hardly a solution when a lot of attachments will be involved.

It's probably been archived since its been quite some time ago. If you check the "Archived Posts" checkbox on the search form it will search the archives. |

basically you will need to write your own POP mail client which can retreive emails from an email dropbox and process them into forum posts.

A forum is also not a solution in this case, what you need is some sort of document management system , the forum is not designed to manage lots of documents either, in fact out of the box it has NO facility to attach documents at all. |
