Totally understand if this is deemed too cheeky by the moderators.

Is there any other more modern forum software that you can upgrade from Snitz so that you don't lose members and topic history etc?

We've been with Snitz for about 4 years now. Personally I really like the software because its simple and easy to read. However mmbers are asking for more and more features which require mods and we don't have the time or expertise to add them.

Wouldn't you think other softwares will also need adding mods?

Texanman, you might just be shocked at what the leading PHP forums offer "out of the box".

Huw's Snits.net is in late beta if you wanted to give it a go - it's not a fancy CMS dressed as a forum, but it has some features builtin that are additions to a vanilla 3.4.06 snitz
