Firstly apologies for yet another call for help.....

I appear to have an issue with the number of pages that show against a topic

For example in forum.asp/active.asp I have a topic that is showing as having 3 pages of posts. However when you click on the Topic and open it, there are only 2 pages. Also if you click on the 3rd page directly from active.asp/forum.asp it goes to a page with no posts shown.

The strange thing is that it is not happening with all posts (only seen 3 occurences this week)

Any clues?

I haven't seen this happen on any forums I was running. Can you post a link to a txt version of your forum.asp/active.asp files? Also, what MODs do you have installed?

A link to or screenshot of your forum would also help, as it would give us a better understanding of what's going on (though I think you explained it clearly enough).

I saw it happen on the old SpareDollar forums once. It was after changing the number of replies to show. IIRC running setup.asp fixed it. Jarred the variables loose I guess.

Wow. I don't remember that topic. Good memory, rui (unless you just found it via search, in which case, good search-fu).

Haven't you learned yet? Rui is really an AI and has real-time access to all the Snitz topics. Not sure if it was Huw or Mike that coded him though.

Well I usually remember most of the 'out of the ordinary' posts where I was a "bit" involved. This one was a bit hard to track. Funny thing, I even remember some of the keywords involved.

Actually this is my 2nd today. I found another that dealt with disappearing app variables values because I classified the solution as overkill. Tried everything until I remembered the 'overkill'... and there it was the topic, once I used 'overkill' to search for it !
