I've searched and read about this subject. I just want to clarify. Shaggy's MOD was done to this forum? This is not a normal feature of 3.4.06?

Well the it wouldn't be a mod then would it? If you care to change it it's line 390 in inc_header.asp

Wow, I must be missing something. I'm not understanding anything you just said.

I have 3.4.06. What do you have to do to make entering the birthdate field a requirement? I searched it and the articles said you had to add some code, but I notice it is on the registration page on here. Maybe, I said MOD and I should have said Shaggy's code change.

If you're looking for the birthdate selector itself, that's now part of the base code. If you want to make that field required, you'll find the necessary changes here.

Thanks, I've seen that. I was just wanting to confirm that it was done to this site and you saying its not part of the base code confirms that. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

No, it hasn't been added to the base code and probably never will - if every forum out there has the same requirement then the bot creators will just update their code and we'll be back where we were with spammers flooding into forums.
