Hello,

I have updated the Forum_Config_new table with a new value for the STRFORUMURL variable. This isn't updating on the web page though. I have refershed the databse / web pages but to no avail. Is this data being cached somewhere - does anyone know how to clear the cache down so that the udpates are implemented.

Thanks very much!!

Did you make this change manually in the database? If so, you will need to run setup.asp.

Yes - great thanks, I'll give this a try. I just want to avoid any hard coding!

You can avoid this problem in the future by making these changes through your admin options rather than directly in your database.

Hi,

I changed the variable via the Main Configuraion link (in Admin Options) and this now updates fine. It's a safer method than deliving straight into the database so will utilise this for the future.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Yup, that's what the admin options are there for

You're welcome
