Can you find the error message in the log? There's probably a syntax error somewhere the log will tell us where. |

#1 in the read me file is...
quote: Confirm that your server supports ASP (Active Server Pages). This should be on the list of features for your host. Windows servers commonly support ASP files. Unix servers can support ASP files if they have the 3rd party software called ChiliASP, installed.
Did you do that? Looks like you're running Apache/2.0.46 (CentOS) |

ChiliASP is now SunONE or something similar since the company that made it got bought out by Sun Microsystems. There is a MOD::ASP or something like that for Apache, but its worthless.
If you want to run ASP you really need to be on a Windows server. If you're hell-bent on running ASP on Linux, then you'll need SunONE or whatever its called now. Don't forget to search here for some of the related issues... |

Could the fact that the forum files are in the /cgi-bin/ folder have anything to do with it??

If you send me an email through the forum here, I can recommend a host. It's just one of thousands, but it is an option.
Other than that, I would recommend searching Google for hosting companies that offer Windows 2003 servers at good rates, then search around for some reviews sites and see how they rank. That is how I found my host. |

HusseinIraq, my top tip would be to look for a host who offers 'Windows Hosting' - they almost always offer true ASP and so be able to run Snitz. In order to avoid claims of favouritism etc here, we cannot discuss or name any hosting companies, but there are many good ones out there, and I know the guys here use a wide variety. Find one you like the look/price of, and drop them an email to confirm they're suitable (you'll also find out how quickly they answer your requests for help!) and maybe some of them already have Snitz installations for some of their users! |
