As many know (hopefully), I've revived the SHN Forums project and reopened the support site. The forums aren't as active as the Snitz forum, but a handful of core users are still hanging around.
Unfortunately, I seem to have inherited an old feud. I'm sure many know to what and whom I am referring. It's so far been confined to PMs and a single post demanding removal of MODs/code from SHN. But I can see this snowballing again.
I'd like to avoid that, while also avoiding becoming a free-speech stifling messageboard Nazi. I'm more of a Solomon wannabe.
Any words of wisdom?
ETA... oops, wrong forum. Sorry! |

I had to create a DSC (Dispute Resolution Center) for some real-life problems involving good people all around.
It took a lot of thought as to how to handle it. It resulted in the one "complainer" quiting the board, but on good and friendly terms. I suspect that he registered again under another name.
The DSC hasn't had any takers so far. It provides a potential trouble-maker an avenue in which they can air their problem. Most are not willing.
It might serve as a template for you to establish your own DSC. Hope that it helps: http://www.eaglecapowners.com/campfire/default.asp?CAT_ID=9

if it is who I am thinking of, then just ignore them, it is not possible to satisfy or even negotiate with them, I and a few others have already tried and given up. |

I'm not looking to moderate or take sides in the dispute. I just don't want it dragged onto the SHN support forums. They've got plenty of other venues to air their grievances. So, I suppose I'll just cut off any arguments before they can get rolling.
