I have been trying to find something to suit my needs for the last week or so and can not turn up anything I want really.
Basically what I am looking for is something like snitzbitz does where I can restrict who can upload content for people to download. I also want to be able to put the files into different catefories to make it easier for people to find what they want.
Anyone know of a script out there that will be able to do what snitzbitz does?

How do you want to restict the upload ability? If it is by member level, that can be easily incorporated into the upload MODs. If my member, then you may want to consider working with the usergroups mod in conjuction with the upload mod you have.
I guess I could modify the snitz program for the uploads and downloads and just wanted a more dedicated way of doing this.
I am just going to restrict this to certain people that I will manually allow to upload.
Mainly what is happening is that I am having an area for free downloads then I am going to restrict other downloads to having to pay first to get them.
I guess I could just strip everything else out so that people could only get to the download section and search section and use the user groups as you say to define the people who can upload. Maybe I will take a look and see if I can redo and make it work I just never really thought about modifying a forum for downloads.
Thanks for the idea or if anyone else has some ideas on switching the forum into something like snitzbitz and the logic behind I could use some help with that as well.
