Hello,

Can anyone PLEASE help me set up this great forum? I tried to read the instruction but it is confusing and I am very new at ASP. But I really like this forum. I have an account at Brinkster.com and I will be willing to tell you my account and password at brinkster. I would not have ask this favor if I could do it myself. Thank you.

Just like vfzone, I am new to this sort of thing. I have an account at Webpeople.com and am not sure how to adjust my config.asp. Thanks in advance for your help.

CreativeMountain,

to find the path to your database you can use the Where Am I? (.ASP) that can be downloaded from here:

Mountain feeling like a mole hill...

Firstly, I am not sure which DBtype, access, sqlserver or mysql.

Then I am confused regarding how to modify the config.asp. I chose the access DBtype and removed the ' from the front. Then I removed the ' in front of the-

strConnString = "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; DBQ=F:\creativemountain.net\writing\writersforum\forum\snitz_forums_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 97

-adjusting as seen above.

I have gathered the path-

F:\creativemountain.net\writing\writersforum\forum\whereami.asp

-string but I think I must be adding it incorrectly to the config.asp file. Am I to be replacing the * with it in the string?

Sorry for such a mess to drop in your lap.

Thanks again in advance for the help,
Mark

No, the way you added it is correct.

Are you getting an error? If so, what is the error?
