A little more information might help... what exactly are you trying to do?

Have a look at how pop_preview(_sig).asp works.

somthing liek this woudl go on the normal static page (like default.asp)

Response.Write "<a href=""javascript:openWindow5('pop_up_file.asp?itemid=" & itemID & "')"">Click Me</a>"

and then to get the varibale "itemid" that is passed to the popup page u would retrieve it with somthing liek this

MyItemID = Request.QueryString("itemid")

u can then use MyItemID in a database select statement

well i think this is how its done...can somoen confirm this is correct?

thansk

Yes, it does. Have a look at those 2 files I mentioned and, as I should have mentioned, how they're opened (from inc_profile.asp, topic.asp & post.asp, you'll find the JS functions in inc_header.asp).
