I would like to know how to change a sub admin back to a moderator or a normal member. As main admin I can't edit their status since there is no edit icon. I did a search but saw nothing, is sub admin not the right term? Thanks.

If you can't edit the status, that means you're not the SuperAdmin. To become SuperAdmin, you need to change the proper line in config.asp

Const intAdminMemberID = 1

Replace the number 1 by the number you see in your browser, at the end of the URL, when you view your profile, like here:
