After a database clean up, where I removed unused tables, my forum behave´s strange.

See this link

In the link above you can see this post, showing that my post ended up in the Subject field instead of in the Message field. I can´t correct this.

How do I correct this?

Thanks / Tomas

Did that happen just with that post?

Depending on how you went about this cleanup, you may have re-assigned autonumber values to some tables. If so, you should be preserving your backup of the pre-cleanup db, since straigtening out incorrect keys is not trivial.

OK, I will restore my database backup .

How do I remove all unwanted tables, without messing up the database?

You seem now to know that well what tables are wanted or not, so I'd leave it like that. Compact it and leave it as it is.

You need to find out the cause. When did it start? Is this just an issue with a specific topic (I can't login to the forum, have no account), or does it happen with other topics?

So far I've been able to post correctly to another forum, and another subject, so it's rather confusiong for me.

I can assign you a admin account, if you would like to help me further.

Thanks / Tomas

Hi ruirib,
I've emailed you but haven't got any answer.

Isn't it better if you temp register and I will give you admin authority? I don't know how to register another member, without entering a correct email address.

Thanks / Tomas

You can register a new account, with whatever email and just activate the account later. Email me the data afterwards, please.

Ok, your forum does seem to have some info deleted. There is table missing:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e37'
The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'FORUM_ALLOWED_MEMBERS'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.

/forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 1117

The FORUM_ALLOWED_MEMBERS was deleted when it should not be.

Also, I noticed there are a few forums with last post info, but zero topics and no archive icon. Maybe the topics were deleted and that was not done using the forum interface...

Other than that, I was able to post topics and replies without issues, even if bothered by flood control.

Hi ruirib,

I have updated the database. Your posts can't be found, and when I try to post at this forum
the post seems messed up and can't be found in Active Topic view.

Could you please check me?

I deleted the posts (were just testing posts anyway). I'll check again.
