Is it possible for an admin (not super) to archive topics without a normal user being able to see them. I've set "Archive Functions" to Off; but then I can't archive topics, and if an archived topic held the last post, a normal user can get into the archive through the last post link. I'm running 3.4.06 with the Pending Member Profile Mod.

what is the point of archiving if nobody can access the archives ? you may as well just delete them.

Well, you could move them to a hidden forum and then archive them... but as HuwR asked, what's the point of having an archive that no one can access when they originally had access to the topic prior to the archive?

I see your point but the forum went through a period that no one used it for about 2 years and most previous members are less active in the org and I still want the archive if someone wants a topic back. I've started to mod but the last post still lets anyone into the archive and I can't figure out how to see in code if a thread in the archive or not. I think I need to edit lines 1042 and 1047 in default.asp
