We have 3 admin and a few moderators and I would like to find out who deleted a certain topic. Is there a way I can find out who deleted the topic?

Also the moderators we have can delete Topics is there some way where I can change it so they can only edit posts but not delete topics?

Thank you

Only by asking your admin and moderators. If nobody owns up then maybe you should rethink your choice of staff.

You should be able to find it in your raw logs.

He's talking about your server logs, and they are wherever your host puts them (your host will know if you don't).

You'd have to go to the logs for the day in question, see what IP accessed the page needed to delete a topic, and then compare that IP to the IP on record for your moderators... assuming that you have that option turned on, and you don't have more than one sitting behind the same proxy server, or on dial-up, or any of a number of interesting scenarios that could cause an incorrect/misleading result.

Having said that, it might be worth looking into just the same as sometimes you get lucky...

They would be on your server if you have access to them. You could ask your host if you don't see them.
