If I am already running the current version of Snitz with just a few mods, can I "upgrade" to the Huwr version? Or do I have to nuke my current install and start over?

HuwR's version is a forum in of itself. You can't upgrade to it. You can just extract the files to the same forum folder you created for your original Snitz forum, over writing the files and then modify the strDBType and strConnString lines in the config.asp file.
