Hi, I set up NT Authentication yesterday and got my forums to use my AD account as my login. However, I am set up as the admin, so now if I post a message, it shows up as being posted by admin, not by me. Can I change this? If I try to modify the admin on the admin/moderator list, I have to click on a box that shows my NT account before I modify the account and I can't change my username. Is it possible to have a separate admin login or would that have to be a separate AD account?
I am using version 3.4.06 and have it set up with Access.
thanks! |

As it's a fact that with NT authentication your account is linked to your AD/NT account, the answer to your question is indeed that you'd need a seperate AD account in order to have a seperate admin login. (wooow, do not try not breathing during slowly reading that sentence.....I did and I nearly went blue...haha) You cán change the username hardcoded in the DB, if the loginpages are giving you problems, but that won't give you a seperate login. |
