Is someone gently willing to help? Quite ironically, the MOD is self-rated as "difficulty 2" in a scale from 1 to 10, but at first line of instructions I am already stopped.
First thing: does it work at all with Access database?
Second: instrucions say to:quote: Use MOD Setup dbs_ipgate.asp IPGate 2.4.3 Database Setup New Install on the forum admin page to setup the database.
Kindly, what does the above mean? Thank you very much. |

Find the file called dbs_ipgate.asp in the zip file and upload it to your forum folder. From your administrative options, go to MOD setup, select the relevant item from the combo and submit the form (Personally, I recommend checking the option to delete the file after setup has run). If that combo box is empty, open dbs_ipgate.asp in your text editor & copy the entire contents. From your administrative options, go to alternative MOD setup, paste the contents of the file into the text area provided and submit the form.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Thanks a lot, Shaggy, this is the second time that you save my day.
I wonder if writing something similar to your post in the installation directions wouldn't be a good idea... |

You're welcome.
Most readmes are a lot clearer on how to run the dbs files.
