After adding Integration Mod 3.4XX to my 3.4 forum and double-checking each line of code the updated files were uploaded to my forum directory.
But my browser now displays the following error

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'
Expected statement
/snitz/inc_footer.asp, line 85
"</html>" & vbNewLine
^
The line identified followed immediately after my newly added code as per the readme. The new lines have replaced two previous lines as per readme.
"</table>" & vbNewLine & _
"</body" & vbNewLine & _

Any thoughts anyone?

Was your forum completly set up and in proper working form to begin with?
Are you using Snitz 3.4.06?

We're there other mods previously made to the forum files?

If you were to download the "5-in-1 Snitz Common Expansion Pack" from Snitzbitiz you can get the Site Integration mod already installed in the appropriate files.

You can simply compare the your modified files with the 5-in-1 files to see where you went wrong.
Note that the 5in1 files are for Snitz 3.4.06

My biggest mistake was in not copying the original four files before working on the integration mod. Prior to this my forum worked well and no other mods had been added. I can not identify which version of 3.4 because I can't see it. It was created using the latest download last November if that helps.

Meanwhile I shall try the 5 in 1 Expansion Pack idea.

This is just the code that got me into this mess when I started six hours ago!

I've just copied the original footer and header files which were downloaded when I started with Snitz and I have a result! My Forum is back. I shall try once more to include the Site Integration Mod. But first I shall copy those four files.

Before I upload the modified replacement files I will rename the un-modified file from something like "topic.asp" to "topic_trash.asp"
After everything works without problems for several months I will come back and delete the trash files.

It helps to avoid frustrations.

That's an easy one to fix; all you were missing was &_ from the line immediately preceding the one giving you an error or a response.write before that line. If it happens again, post a link to a *.txt copy of your inc_footer.asp file and we'll let you know what you need to do.
