I just installed One Way Mule's Guestbook to my forum. It looks great.

I have two questions:

  1. How can I disable the ICQ box? I don't want to have that on my guestbook form.
  2. If I am logged into the forum as the admin and then go to the guestbook page, I appear to be logged out. How can I fix that?

I fixed number 2.

I think number 1 may have just been a quirk on my end. It seems to work fine now.

Find the following code in guestbook.asp (approx. line 355):

and replace it with

Now find the following code (approx. lines 387-395):

and remove it.

I already did step two of what you posted, but did not do step one. It seems to be working anyway. Is your step one really necessary?

To be honest I wanted to do exactly the same as you so asked OWM who gave me those instructions. Its been working ok for a fair while now and knowing zilch about coding I just followed his advice.
