Also try deleting your browser cache/temp files etc - that may flush it through |

Thanks for posting this and to the replies, I off to edit my file now.
For the icon, I used FxIcon32 available from http://www.jhepple.com/iconmkr.htm |

Make sure your path is correct and if I'm not mistaken I believe the icon has to be named "favicon". But I could be wrong. And as mentioned above if your using anything less than IE7 it may not work. I use IE6 and almost never see one and if one does show up it only lasts for 2 or 3 visits. quote: Also try deleting your browser cache/temp files etc - that may flush it through
This will also help. |

It is worth noting what Dynamic Drive noted on the page you linked to:quote: Note that your favicon may not appear immediately after you've completed the above two steps. In fact, it may take a few days, and in IE, sometimes the favicon will disappear from time to time due to a browser bug.

Thanks, I assume root means / ie
htdocs logs private favicon.ico
I tried it but it was hit and miss on 2 different machines with 4 browsers. Just seen note about taking a few days so I will let it sort itself out and come back if all is not well. cheers |
