When setting up a new MySQL database, some TEXT fields cannot be created because of the " DEFAULT ''" statement.

I had to remove it from code.

Is this a known issue?

This is with build 5.0.27 of MySQL.

Are you talking about Snitz 3.4.06?

Snitz 3.4.06 fixed, AFAIK, those default values. Can you post the exact error message?

I'll set up another board on my server and will post the results here over the weekend.

you can probably get around the problem by removing the STRICT_TRANS_TABLES property in my.ini
