I have just installed the forum at ldsmormonsingles.com. I have completed the setup tables page and gave the needed information. Tables were created I followed the link to the forum and then logged in. The admin options were not available. I was curious and decided to check my profile I then got the error "you must be logged in to view". So I re logged in, got login successful still unable to access profile or admin options.
I am not sure what version I am running and am thinking maybe I did something wrong. So after I send this I am going to download newest version and reinstall everything. If you can help please let me know.
You can find the version number by hovering your mouse over the "Powered By" link at the bottom of the page. If the version you just installed isn't the 3.4.06 (the most current at this point in time) you're probably going to want to use the 3.4.06 code.
Also, you will need to make sure that cookies are enabled and you are using the account you created when you set up the forum.
You'll also need to make sure sessions are enabled on your server.
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.”
14 ¶ Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
The first step to know the lord is to fear him. Hope Faith and Charity.
I am using godaddy and have managed to upload the site once again. This time I used username snitz, password snitz as the admin. still won't work no admin priv please help thanks
Your host, user name, and password don't exactly help us at this point in time... you need to check with your host since it looks like session variables aren't enabled.
Well just got off the phone with godaddy. I am running a deluxe account and that lets me run multiple domains in the subdirectory of my root domain. Sessions will not work in sub-domains. At least thats what I think they said. Long story short It appears I have to purchase a separate hosting account for this domain for the board to work.....
