That's a new one... Weird... The message even seems a bit stupid... Anyway the script will never get completed, cause the count issue won't work...
Other than a script rewrite, I don't think you will make it work. |

Right, because I am not trying to delete anything! Basically what I get now is after executing the queries provided I get a field of "........" and then the error at the end. I have tried to copy different copies of admin_forums.asp (from backups prior to installation of any mods, current one, included one from the 3.4.05 d/l and even the 3.4.06 one) I get some error or another with all of them now. I think that what I may end up doing is just begin to manually delete old topics.
A lengthy process, but one that will work for now. As I understand it the archive process doesn't change the overall size of the db but just puts the old topics (locked) into different fields? If that is the case all that is happening is an apparent "speeding up" of the forum due to not having to query all topics; this is all I am after as user's are complaining of lag. I have checked with the serverside of things and there doesn't seem to be any problems there. I will pursue it still, but am at an impasse now!
As I play around with it a bit more I will try and track down more errors as I get them and hopefully can figure out what I am doing! Thanks for the help so far.
I wonder if I should use this as a unique opportunity to just upgrade to 3.4.06 and reinstall my mods? |

Would there be another, better suited db that will work with archiving? I think that the amount of users, etc. is too large for Access, but what about something else? |
