Here a the spec of how I host the Forum Hosted on a Linux(Cili ASP) DNS connection to a NT 2000 Access DB ver 3.1 SR4
the first reply posted fails to be present on the topic.asp. Every other reply is present on the topic.asp. (First reply is in DB)
And nobody else does have this problem on the entire Snitz Forums View Problem here
Does anybody know what is wrong?

Ok, the problem is, after the sub GetFirst() executes, it checks to see if the Record Set has reached the End Of File(EOF) or the Begining Of File(BOF), which means it check to see if there are any replies. If EOF or BOF is true (meaning no replies), it writes nothing. Obviously something isn't right with your database.
Could you send me your post_info.asp file also. And I have to ask again, did you modify the post_info.asp file? Maybe there is some info it's not writing to the database.

I modifyed yes in a txt based editor (post.asp)adding the e-mail hide function as well only modification on the source through the forum I disabled the rs.cachsize well Cilli ASP seems to have a prob with that as well. And as well I added the printer friendly mod to the forum.
The funny part is why does it not post only the very first reply to the topic.asp but if you look it exist on the reply page ( the first reply so it is in the DB) and any following reply is posted normal.
No I did not modify post_info.asp!!! Edited by - Enigma on 15 March 2001 14:30:52

Well it's definately writing it to the db, since it is there if you hit the printer freindly button, so it must be a problem with topic.asp that is causing it not to display

I don't think it is your system or setup, since it reads the replies perfectly in pop_printer_freindly. email me your topic.asp, I 'll see if Davio overlooked anything.

Hello,
I've got the same problem, I just wrote a post about it, see here. Then I saw this thread.
Enigma, have you solved the problem yet?

I temporary solved the problem, see this posting. However, this solution might not be so good when I get long threads in my forum. I don't know yet how to solve the problem completely.
