Hi, I would like to make the main windows, which contain the categories, topics, and threads, to be a little narrower so that imore of the background artwork along the sides shows up.

Does this require a asp file mod or can it be manipulated within the admin options?

You'll find the width for the forum tables in inc_header.asp; the main table is 95% wide and the header (logo, menu, etc.) is 100% wide.

That's just what I was looking for, so if I look in the inc_header.asp file should I look for where it has something like "table width" and the number 95 and just change that number?

Ay, there're 3 instances of 95% which you'll need to change (just search your file for 95%) and one of 100%.

Cool, I made my first code change of my life YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!

I found one instance of 95% and changed that. I would also like to change what I think is called the footer, and the forum windows too. I'll see if I can find more in the inc_header.asp file.

Done, thanks for the help.

Alright! Thanks.

Edit: This is going nicely, the header had several places where there was a % width, and I changed all of them and found only one did what I wanted so I think I changed most of them back

While there I discovered the table border size so I made a border of 5 around the footer and it looks better.

What I would like to do is put a border around the main table window, but when I tried that it made a border which went up and down past the main window to include some of the details (new/not new postsat the bottom and date since last visit and folder tier listing at the top)

What I would like to do is put the border around the main window only and not around the additional writing that is outside the window. Is that an easy change, is it a number I missed, or should I forget about doing that?

I guess it would look really nice if I could put borders around all the windows, like the write reply window, and the read post window, etc.
