As the subject states...I just clicked a link on my forum and this came up. The last thing that I know I did on this particular forum was to delete all of the existing users and existing forums/topics and new people started to join.
The last thing I was doing was watching/waiting for someone to register and when I clicked on a link, this message came up::
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
System resource exceeded.
/forums/inc_func_common.asp, line 1031
If I refresh the page, I can get:: quote: HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error
what does this mean, and how can I fix it? |

after a short while, everything worked again. |

Access database? These problems may not go away with your host and they could ask you to upgrade or move on. |

yeah, I use the database. The thing with it is...Ive got one of the top plans with my host, and the forum I am using is exactly the same as the one that I used before- nothing changed in terms of bandwidth: it was just me going back and forth on several pages checking to see if a few changes went through.
I have been having issues with my host for a while in terms of losing access to my databases (mysql) , ftp and internal control panel- but they assured me that all of those items were fixed. So when this error came about- I was wondering what was happening. It seemed odd to me: Ive never seen it happen to me before. It hasn't happened since- but I'm thinking they were updating something or doing something with my account. |

If you've got a top plan, you should expect top support!
My thought though - it may not have been you and your elegantly-coded forum software stressing out the resource, but they'll have to look into it server-side |
