Hi all

Apologies if this is stating the obvious (or in the wrong place).

Today I downloaded the latest verson and managed to get it going - eventually; what was required was the exact format to use in the connection string - I'm a newb, can you tell - anyway I found what I needed on the 1&1 FAQ and thought I would post it to save time for others in my situation.

http://faq.oneandone.co.uk/script_cookbook__databases/asp/asp__access_databases/5.html

I hope this helps someone in the future.

OK, going on the instuctions given by your host, if you copy your database to the db folder, then you would need something like this:

strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=E:\kunden\homepages\xx\dxxxxxxxxx\db\snitz_formus_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 2000

It would be good to go to the tools.zip file and take out the whereami.asp file and browse to that file and you will find what the xx\dxxxxxxxxx are, or let us know what it comes up with, and I will show you the sting that it needs to be.

Cheers,

David Greening

I think he was posting that as an FYI for those 1 and 1 users who couldn't find the FAQ item. I can understand why he'd want to do that as I've found their FAQs a little hard to navigate (but that's another discussion for another time ).
