I was editing the states colum recently, and I think it is directly related somehow but now when anyone goes to the active topics page it lists their last visit date the second they visit the page rather than the time/date they actually last visited. Anyone know of a way to fix this? I re-ran setup.asp, I made them delete cookies, I restarted the server, don't know what else to do. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

Not sure that I understand what you mean, but did you change the code that deals with the last visit date?

no, I didn't explain myself fully. When the user goes to active topics there are no topics listed because the date listed as last visit is the date and time they are at the moment of visiting the site rather than when they last left it. I have not done any code changes recently, nor ever done any code changes before that deal with the time functions.

Does that happen with all the users? Is the server time correct?

server time is correct, happens with all usrs. BUT say if the user logs in, the active topics page is clear but if a new topic surfaces during the time they are active on the site then it does show up on the active topics page but the minute they become officially inactive, nothing will showup regardless if new topics or replies are made while they are away.

... Just a thought, are sessions enabled on your server and working properly? If sessions aren't enabled or are set to expire immediately then that could be the cause of the problem.

sessions are enabled and are set to keep alive not to expire immediately

any chance you could post a link to a text version of your inc_header.asp and active.asp pages so someone can take a look

no sorry, your active.asp is identical to a standard Snitz. your inc_header is far too different to do a compare , but don't see anything that would cause the problem

FYI, it doesn't exhibit the behaviour you describe if you are not logged in, it gave me a last visit date of 10 days ago.

hmmm a login is snitztest / test
I have not logged into that account so it should have some stuff. Mind logging in and seeing if it displays the problem when you are logged in?

There's a global.asa on the site, but it has been there for 4 years and is used daily. No changes have been done to it in over a year.

hmmm, that is highly odd, I have tons of pm's telling me of this problem and have asked other users as well, besides you there's only one other user that has repoted of it working fine. Doesn't work for me... I don't know what to do.
